Management Cost Accounting & Funding Optimization equips VAMC senior leaders and financial management staff to understand how operational decisions, workload capture, documentation, and cost accounting affect both facility costs and funding. Participants examine key MCA concepts—including cost drivers, labor mapping, clinic configuration, DSS/RVU data, and VERA—and learn to identify data gaps, evaluate funding opportunities, and apply cost, capacity, and VERA considerations to resource decisions such as in-house versus Community Care delivery.
